We're well on our way back to Spat Camp for the 2010 season! The Delano parade is over, and it was a

welcome you into our section!

Also, let me say a giant congrats to the 2010 leadership team!

Block Captain: Dick Floss a.k.a. Brandon Folkes

Rank Lieutenant: Cakezilla! a.k.a. Becca Michels

Rank Lieutenant: Muffy a.k.a. Sam Schreiner

Rank Lieutenant: Erica! a.k.a. Laura Farvour

Lastly, some dates to remember:

August 28: Vet Spat starts. BALLS OUT! NO CHOICE!

Tempe Part III PDF Print E-mail

ok, so Tempe again. Dec 29, 2009 - Jan 1, 2010

here are some things you need to know:

1. The tuba's are one flight one so

  • be at TCF at 4:00am to get checked in
  • we leave by bus to the airport by 5:00am
  • we'll be down in Tempe by 10:00 their time

2. bring stuff to do! it gets really boring on the plane and on the buses, and also, we're going to be down

there for like nine hours before we do anything.

3. just because normal temps for this time of year are in the 60s, doesn't mean that it's actually going to be60...

so prepare for lots of different types of weather. (My grandparents are in AZ right now, and in some parts it's

snowing...)

4. remember who you're rooming with: When arriving at hotel the person with the name first alphabetically will

need to pick up the keys and distribute to the rest of the room.

5. have a blast! but remember, because this is an officially sponsored U of M/ICA trip/function alcohol

consumption at any time during the trip is prohibitedfor all students regardless of age.

ok, so Tempe part III didn't quite go as according to plan.

ESPN and CBS had us set to win by 4, but in the end we ended up

one behind. BOO, however, still a valiant effort put forth by our esteemed

gophers, keeping ISU from scoring the entire second half. There was also

some pretty cool things that happened, between twenty-three of us

27.5 pounds of meat was eaten at the HEART ATTACK GRILL. A

four-mile stretch of dust cloud was created in the third run of pregame

the second day of practice. And, the best thing ever... NO TUBA PLAYERS

WERE DAMAGED IN THE MAKING OF THIS BOWL GAME! Have a fun rest of

winter break guys, see you at pepband.

stay tuned,

Ok, so i think it is time for an update! Well, we've been at the stadium for a while now, and it's a lot of fun!

The Indoor concert is coming up and i think you all want tickets! So here's the website:

http://northrop.umn.edu/tickets/buy-tickets

It's a good idea to get them early. For now this is short and sweet...

But i have to do homework instead of edit this beast all day. :)
